Introduction:
Civil Hospital, Aizawl has been recognized as an NBE accredited Hospital for DNB Board Specialty Course (Post MBBS – 3 years, Post Diploma – 2 years) since academic session of 2013 – 2014. The Institute is holding a good pass percentage record of 89% till academic session of 2021 – 2022.
The Hospital is an ISO 9001:2015 certified, Kayakalp Swachh Bharat 2015 Award 1st Prize winner and National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certified hospital since 2017. It is equipped with Mizoram State Medical Library (funded by North East Council) which is a member of National Medical Library with E-Books and Journals Facility.
DNB training course at Civil Hospital, Aizawl is catering 2 seats annually in each discipline namely General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology and Pediatrics with 1 seat in Anesthesiology. Nine students are admitted in each session and no seat has been left vacant till date.
Basic Hostel accommodation is available inside the hospital premises, 8 seats for ladies and 20 seats for gents (28 seats altogether) most of them being shared rooms. Bed, locker, table and chair are allotted to each student with continuous supply of water and electricity. Surplus students or candidates who do not clear exams in time may have to look for their own accommodation outside the premises.
